مؤسسة زاهي حواس للآثار والتراث تنظم ندوة كبرى حول “ملكات وأميرات وهوانم عصر الأسرة العلوية” بالإسكندرية

في إطار الشراكة الثقافية المستمرة لنشر الوعي الأثري والتاريخي، نظمت مؤسسة زاهي حواس للآثار والتراث، بالتعاون مع جمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية، أمس الأربعاء الموافق 10 يونيو 2026، محاضرة ثرية ونوعية تحت عنوان “ملكات وأميرات وهوانم عصر الأسرة العلوية.. معالم أثرية ومقتنيات فنية خالدة”، وذلك بمقر جمعية الآثار بالإسكندرية. وشهدت الندوة حضوراً متميزاً من قيادات المؤسسة والأكاديميين والمتخصصين، تقدمهم الدكتور إبراهيم درويش مدير فرع المؤسسة بالإسكندرية والأستاذ علي أبو دشيش مدير عام مؤسسة زاهي حواس للآثار والتراث، والدكتورة ماجدة عبد الله رئيس قسم الآثار سابقاً بكلية الآداب جامعة كفر الشيخ، والدكتورة آلاء سالم، و عبد الله طه مدير التدريب بالمؤسسة، إلى جانب لفيف من الأثريين والمهتمين بالتراث التاريخي لعروس البحر الأبيض المتوسط.

وألقى المحاضرة الدكتور رأفت عبد الرازق، أستاذ الآثار الإسلامية ووكيل كلية الآداب بجامعة طنطا، مستعرضاً حقبة تاريخية وفنية متميزة من تاريخ مصر الحديث؛ حيث تناولت الندوة حزمة من المحاور العلمية بدأت بتناول الألقاب الخاصة بنساء الأسرة العلوية وتدرج ألقابهن في عصر أسرة محمد علي، واستعراض أشهر المنشآت والقصور الخاصة بملكات وأميرات ونبيلات وهوانم الأسرة. كما تطرقت المحاضرة إلى العديد من التحف والمقتنيات الفنية والأثرية النادرة، والمواد الخام الرائعة التي صُنعت منها أدوات الزينة والمجوهرات الفريدة المحفوظة حالياً بالمتاحف المصرية، فضلاً عن تسليط الضوء على شارات الحكم والملك التي وردت على المنشآت المعمارية، والمونجرام الملكي المنفذ على القطع النادرة الفريدة محل الدراسة، لتختتم بالتعريف بأبرز الشخصيات والأعلام من حكام الأسرة العلوية والملكات والأميرات اللاتي تركن بصمة واضحة في التاريخ المصري.

وقد اختتمت الفعالية بفتح باب النقاش والإشادة بالثراء المعماري والفني الذي خلفته الأسرة العلوية كجزء لا يتجزأ من التراث المصري الهام، مع التأكيد على مواصلة المؤسسة تنظيم هذه الفعاليات النوعية لإبراز ملامح الهوية الحضارية المصرية عبر العصور المختلفة.

Zahi Hawass Foundation Organizes Major Seminar on “Queens, Princesses, and Hanems of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty” in Alexandria

ALEXANDRIA — June 11, 2026— Within the framework of an ongoing cultural partnership to promote archaeological and historical awareness, the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage, in cooperation with the Archaeological Society of Alexandria, organized a rich and specialized lecture yesterday, Wednesday, June 10, 2026. The seminar, titled “Queens, Princesses, and Hanems of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty: Eternal Archaeological Landmarks and Artistic Collections,” was held at the headquarters of the Archaeological Society of Alexandria.
The event witnessed a distinguished turnout of foundation leaders, academics, and specialists, led by Mr. Ali Abu Dashish, Director of the Zahi Hawass Foundation for Antiquities and Heritage; Dr. Ibrahim Darwish, Director of the Foundation’s Alexandria branch; Dr. Magda Abdullah, former Head of the Archaeology Department at the Faculty of Arts, Kafr El-Sheikh University; Dr. Walaa Salem; and Mr. Abdullah Taha, Director of Training at the Foundation, alongside a gathering of archaeologists and heritage enthusiasts from the Mediterranean city.

The lecture was delivered by Dr. Raafat Abdel-Razek, Professor of Islamic Archaeology and Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Tanta University, who reviewed a distinguished historical and artistic era of modern Egyptian history. The seminar addressed a bundle of scientific axes, beginning with the titles of the women of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty and the progression of their ranks. It also featured a showcase of the most famous architectural structures and palaces belonging to the queens, princesses, noblewomen, and hanems of the royal family.

Furthermore, the lecture touched upon numerous rare antiquities and artistic collections, alongside the exquisite raw materials used to craft the unique toiletries and jewelry currently preserved in Egyptian museums. Dr. Abdel-Razek also shed light on the royal insignia and emblems found on architectural structures, as well as the royal monograms executed on the rare artifacts under study. The seminar concluded by introducing the most prominent figures, rulers, queens, and princesses of the Muhammad Ali Dynasty who left a clear mark on Egyptian history.

The event concluded with an open discussion and widespread praise for the architectural and artistic richness left by the Muhammad Ali Dynasty as an integral part of Egypt’s significant heritage, while emphasizing the Foundation’s commitment to continuing these specialized events to highlight the features of Egyptian cultural identity across different eras.
